COME CELEBRATE with SEA!!!!!!

July 2, 2017, will mark 25 years of carrying out environmental activities in the six major watersheds of Boughton, Cardigan, Brudenell, Montague-Valleyfield, Sturgeon and Murray River. These areas make up the 73,139 hectares of the Southeast Environmental Association Watershed Management Region – a local community charity group.
To celebrate this great milestone, we will be hosting a “Be a SEA Volunteer” event at the Harvey Moore Wildlife Sanctuary (HMWS) on July 2nd starting at 1:30pm. This milestone will be followed by an exciting announcement from SEA, cake and refreshments.

The HMWS is a hidden jewel in eastern PEI and, over the past couple of years, we have been working hard to carry out upgrades, raise its profile to attract locals, tourists and visitors, and carry out various environmental education activities for the community. Our planned activities for volunteers include: brush removal, tree planting, trail maintenance and flowerbed construction.

We need your help and support, and hope that you will join us to become a ‘SEA Volunteer’ for the afternoon. We ask that you please confirm your attendance so that we can make arrangements for activities and provisions!! Email us at: sea@pei.aibn.com, or call 902-838-3351.

Please wear proper footwear (i.e. sneakers, hiking boots – no sandals or open-toed footwear). We highly recommend that you bring water, bug spray and gloves. Hope to see you there!
