Planning for Rural Sustainability on PEI: Mapping Community’s Socio-cultural Values and Places of Importance

Mapping the Community (Video)

Mapping Instructions (Video)

The Southeast Environmental Association is conducting community planning get-togethers that will evaluate how residents value places of land and sea. You will have the opportunity to identify specific places that you personally value and this information will then be used to help make decisions about sustainable community development on your island.

Are there places in your region that are important to you?

Would you like to share these stories and opinions?

It is only through participation and community input that we are able to map these ‘valued places’ so that other people can see how and why various areas across PEI are important.   We will be holding other events across the SEA region – from Boughton to Murray Harbour – so if there are places that you value, or that you think are important enough to tell us about and to place on a map, I invite you to contact us at Ph: 902-838-3351, email: sea@pei.aibn.com, website: www.seapei.org, twitter: SEAPEI_2012, facebook: Southeast Environmental Association to get your personal access code!!!  Looking forward to hearing from you!!!!
